First, a quick rundown on what Kindle Unlimited (KU) is. Kindle Unlimited is a monthly subscription through Amazon that gives you access to over one million titles in the Kindle store. This includes books, audiobooks, and magazines. You can borrow up to 10 Kindle Unlimited titles at a time and there are no dates so you can keep them as long as you want. The best part? They offer a free 30 day trial so if you haven’t tried it yet, sign up here.
Now on to the main event – why do I love Kindle Unlimited?
Read Unlimited Books For Cheap
Seriously, you can’t beat the price! For less than the cost of 1 paperback you can read unlimited books that are available on Kindle Unlimited. At the time of this post the monthly subscription is $9.99 per month. Although eBook prices vary, a typical eBook can run around $3.99. If you read more than two books a month then KU is worth it!
Find New To You Authors, Risk Free
If you’re reading a book by a new author it can be risky knowing whether you’ll like their writing style and books. Reviews can be super helpful for this but we all have our own style, tropes, and storylines that we prefer. Kindle Unlimited allows you to check out new to you authors and if you want to DNF (did not finish) a book you don’t feel guilty about hitting return and moving on.
Binge On Favorite Authors
On the flip side, there’s nothing better than finding a favorite author on Kindle Unlimited and binge reading every book they have available on there. After reading your favorite KU books you can opt to purchase the Kindle eBook to keep forever or purchase the books in paperback version. I like to have eBooks in addition to paperback so I can read in the dark as well as always have books with me when I’m on the go.
Some of my favorite authors that have books available on Kindle Unlimited (available at the time of this post):
LJ Shen
Adriana Locke
Rachel Van Dyken
TL Swan
Alessandra Torre
Jade West
